Life With-Out Limits

Life Without Limits (LWL) is a national initiative launched by United Cerebral Palsy to empower people with disabilities to envision and build a better future for themselves, their communities and the world at large.

UCP's LWL initiative was formed in 2007 as a platform from which people with disabilities, their families, and disability advocates could engage corporations, organizations and individuals to build sustainable communities that draw upon the disability community's untapped strength. Through events, thought pieces and technology research and innovation, Life Without Limits aims to create a brighter future for people with disabilities.

We believe the Life Without Limits battle cry can be found at the most basic of levels for children with Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities. We watch Dylan and other children push through their day-to-day lives, dedicating themselves to therapy while trying to fit in and just be normal kids. It’s even more challenging for our family because Dylan’s twin sibling, Ryan, doesn’t understand the difficulties his brother faces and the struggles that need to be overcome.

We, as parents, therapist, teachers and friends - push and encourage Dylan every day to live with confidence, pride and determination and not allow Cerebral Palsy to affect the quality of life he desires. Our constant reminders to Dylan are to never quit and never give up. We tell him he can accomplish anything he sets his mind to; he can grow up and be whoever he wants to be. The words "I can't" are not allowed to be spoken!

Every effort is made in pushing Dylan to reach his potential, with a constant focus on "Life Without Limits".

Because of people like you and the numerous charities and organizations that work tirelessly around the clock to enrich the lives of others, no parent or child that deals with Cerebral Palsy can ever say THANK YOU enough!
